Java Developer

The candidate is an experienced Java developer who has been programming in Java for over 13 years in commercial practice. His most used technologies include -Java, Spring, JPA, Hibernate, Junit, Spock, Axon Framework. He has programmed just about everything in Java and that's why he takes it as fun, he has overlap into other technologies on the frontend - JavaScript, React, Typescript for example. On the last project he also held the role of Devops (Docker, Kubernetes). He doesn't have a preferred area he would like to work in, he is adaptable. When programming, he mostly uses analytical thinking, which is a prerequisite for a successful developer. He is familiar with a number of agile methodologies, on his last project he worked with SCRUM and believes that every company adapts its own form of SCRUM, where he as a developer can adapt. He would like to use the English language actively at work, he wants to apply his communication skills at C1 level in communicating with a foreign team.

2021 - today: Senior Java developer Worked on the SmartBrief Scalpel project, focusing on splitting the monolith application into multiple services and migrating it to the cloud. Used Java, Spring Boot, MS SQL, Kubernetes, and GitLab. Contributed to increasing observability and updating deployment pipelines to move towards CI/CD.

2018 - 2021: Front-end development leader and DevOps engineer Led the development of the front-end part of the LILJA system used by Traficom. Utilized TypeScript, React, Java 11, Spring Boot, Podman, Ansible, and RHEL. Responsible for choosing technologies, maintaining code quality and UI usability. Defined deployment pipelines, strategy, and environment maintenance.

2010 - 2018: Senior Java and Node.js Developer Contributed to the development and maintenance of the YourLearning internal IBM portal. Worked with Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, IBM Cloudant, DB2, and Kubernetes. Developed and maintained REST services in both Java and Node.js. Specialized in Node.js, defining best practices and maintaining NPM modules used across teams.
