Javascript Developer & Node.js Developer

The candidate is a developer who has been programming in Node.js on the backend for more than 3 years in commercial practice, 4 years if you count the frontend as well. His most used technologies include - Node.js, TypeScript, Python, Swagger, CouchDB, PostGIS, Docker. On his first project, he was building a distributed system across different ports with eventual data consistency. Working on Rest Apis, Queries, new microservices - geolocation, configuration to front end. Replication of session data between authentication services in different hubs. On next project mainly mobile app and browser fromtt end interface maintenance on BE - upgrade node.js versions in big services, migrations from JS to typescript, design and implementation of new PDF parser, improve validation in REST Apis based on swagger schemes, new rest endpoints as needed (query for features in admin interface from colleagues). He actively uses agile methodologies in his work, especially Scrum and Kanban. He is able to communicate in English without any problems (C1). He has experience in telecom sector, banking and maritime - if he could choose he would like to work on something beneficial like drones or environment. He has also worked as a Team Leader where he led a QAA team for 8 months (5 people)

Nov 2020 - ongoing: Responsible for full-stack development on a health insurance marketplace system for the US market. Utilized Java, React, TypeScript, Jenkins, as well as other tools and internal libraries such as Golang, Airflow, AWS S3 and SES, Terraform, Couch-base, and MySQL.

Apr 2019 - Nov 2020: Involved in full-stack development and DevOps maintenance on a wealth management platform for portfolio managers. Worked with Node.js, TypeScript, React Native, AngularJS, CircleCI, Couch-base, Kibana, Exoscale, and Docker. Collaborated in small teams, conducted regular meetings, and followed non-technical requirements and user requests.

Jul 2016 - Apr 2019: Focused on backend development for maritime communication software. Utilized Node.js, TypeScript, Python, Swagger, CouchDB, PostGIS, and Docker. Participated in sprint planning, peer code reviews, and worked on internal REST APIs, microservices, queries, and database schema improvements.

2013 - 2020: M.Sc. in Applied Informatics from Slovak Technical University. Master thesis focused on solving Playfair ciphers using meta-heuristics. Also participated in Erasmus+ programs at Universidade do Minho in Braga, Portugal in 2018, and Tallinna Tehnikaülikool in Tallinn, Estonia in 2017.

Achievements: Received written recognition from the Dean for outstanding master thesis, awarded Student of the Year for exceptional study results from exchange studies, and was part of a winning team at a blockchain-themed hackathon.
