DevOps Engineer

The candidate has been doing DevOps since January 2021, actively using Asible and Bash. In addition, he has 6 years of experience as a Linux Administrator, where he often works with e.g. Python. In the past, he has also led a team of 6 within L1 support and also has experience as a deputy head of department. His English is at B1 level and communication is not a problem for him.

2021 - present DevOps Engineer: Integrated and managed services in the system (MariaDB with MaxScale, Postgres with Patroni, MongoDB, KeyDB/Redis, Nginx/Apache-PHP) in LXC containers. Orchestrated using Ansible and scripted in Bash. Contributed to unit testing in Golang. Monitored production applications using Telegraf, InfluxDB, and Grafana. Managed Jenkins, GitLab runners, and development environments.

2019 - 2020 Systems Engineer: Utilized Puppet and Ansible for orchestration and Python and Bash for automation. Managed a platform for developers to develop, deploy, and monitor applications (mainly Java) with a focus on independence from Linux departments, HA solutions, and geo/load balancing. Managed websites through a CDN platform. Provided support and communication in Czech and English.

2015 - 2018 Linux Administrator: Managed hundreds of physical and virtualized Linux servers. Monitored production servers and resolved incidents (troubleshooting). Supported customers and colleagues. Managed and developed active network devices and TCP/IP in a Linux environment (firewall, routing, DHCP, VLAN, OpenVPN, Tinc, Quagga, Heartbeat, HAProxy). Automated tasks using Bash, Python, and Ansible.

2014 - 2015 L1 Support Lead: Handled customer requests, internal support, and managed internal documentation. Led a team of six members.

2012 - 2014 IT Support: Installed PCs, worked with Microsoft Office and LibreOffice, and maintained PCs and laptops.
