DevOps Engineer

The candidate has been working in IT since 2001 and for the last 4 years he has been automating business processes and applications within DevOps. He mainly uses Docker and Kubernetes in his work, he also has some experience with OpenSphift. In addition, he also works with BitBucket, Git and GitLab and has more than a basic understanding of scripting in BASH, Python, Groovy and Java. His English is at an advanced level and he has no problem using it at work.

December 2017 - Present: DevOps Engineer - Responsible for designing and implementing a full DevOps pipeline, including code commit, automated infrastructure and platform provisioning, and automated application deployment and testing. Also involved in a DevOps project for continuous integration.

November 2012 - November 2017: Professional Application Support Specialist - Prepared J2EE application server environments, deployed new applications, configured resources, provided 2nd level support for troubleshooting, communicated with vendor support teams, upgraded and patched applications, implemented monitoring and tuning.

December 2011 - November 2012: Head of IT Application Support - Managed a department of Java application specialists and system administrators, responsible for reporting, budgeting, and capacity planning.

August 2007 - December 2011: IT Team Leader - Managed a team of application specialists, participated in projects for upgrading and installing new versions of applications.

February 2002 - July 2007: IT Support Administrator - Built and configured personal computers, provided hardware and software support, built networking infrastructure.

February 2001 - January 2002: IT Specialist - Responsible for IP voice support for the Ministry of the Slovak Republic.
