Android Developer

The candidate is an Android developer with more than 4 years of experience. Primarily works in Kotlin, but is also part of older projects where Java is used. However, there he performs more of a support and fix-it work. He has worked on various projects for example for the National Health Insurance Fund or state projects where they were doing with cash slips. On projects he works with agile methodologies, especially Scrum. He hasn't had the opportunity to lead his own team or train more junior developers yet. If given the opportunity, he would love to give it a try. He doesn't have a preferred area he would like to work in, he would be interested in automotive or banking for example.

April 2016 - Present: Android Developer. Worked on various projects in different fields, ranging from finance to small businesses. Involved in project architecture and implementation of design elements. Developed applications using Kotlin, Java, Kotlin Coroutines, Android Jetpack libraries, Dagger, Hilt, OkHttp, Retrofit, Glide, and Firebase.

June 2015 - September 2015: Android Developer (Internship). Worked with a team of 3 other students on an internal app for IBM employees. Gained knowledge of mobile ecosystem from design to final app delivery. Used technologies such as React Native, Ionic, and Cordova.

May 2014 - September 2014: Tester. Worked as a mobile network tester for Orange Slovensko. Responsibilities included testing cellular network, data gathering, reporting results, and working with company database.

Masters degree in Information Systems from Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, Faculty of Informatics and Information Technologies (2015-2017). Thesis focused on segmentation of multiple sclerosis lesions in radiological images using computer vision methods.

Bachelors degree in Informatics from Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, Faculty of Informatics and Information Technologies (2012-2015). Thesis focused on image recognition on mobile devices.

Fluent in English, beginner level in German.
