AWS Engineer & Cloud Engineer

The candidate has been in the IT field for 9 years. In 2020, he earned his AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification. He has been working with AWS for about 2 years. He is currently working as an AWS Cloud engineer where he is responsible for on-premise to Public Cloud (AWS) migration. He also does Terraform training to customers. Prior to that, he worked as a solution engineer where he was responsible for creating the complete infrastructure and database which he migrated to the cloud. He focused on making sure the infrastructure was built as code and uses CloudFormation there. Even though he has not worked with Terraform, he believes that after a short learning curve he would have no problem with it as CloudFormation is similar to it. He has also previously worked for 9 months with Openshift, which is an extension of Kubernetes. He enjoys learning new things, for example he plans to learn Python. He is working on the project with both Scrum and Kanban agile methodologies. He communicates in English on a daily basis as he is the only Slovak in the team. However, he also speaks Russian. He hasn't had the opportunity to lead his own team yet, but in his previous job he regularly trained more junior colleagues.
