PHP Developer

The candidate is a PHP developer with more than 6 years of experience. At work they have a customized legacy framework, so he mostly works in pure PHP, but he would have no problem to learn any framework as well. He has tried working with Luminas on his project. Right now he is mainly acting as a backend developer. He is involved in internal software development, working on warehouse system, CRM. When they opened the optics, he worked on the development of the checkout. He also developed features for warehouse and accounting. He also had a team of 4 developers assigned to him, with whom he worked on subscription options for online contact lens sales. They mainly use Scrum from agile methodologies in their work. Communication in English is not a problem for him as the e-shop is in multiple countries and thus he has to communicate with foreigners as well. Since he has been with his current employer since he graduated from college, he would like to try working for another company. He prefers larger companies that use more modern technology and where there is the possibility of career advancement. He would not like to work for agencies that develop the same small projects over and over. He would also like to try working with microservices and Node.js, for example.

Responsibilities include developing and designing components and subsystems for the internal warehouse system, optimizing warehouse processes, integrating the website with the accounting system Helios Green, managing a dedicated Windows server for accounting, leading small teams for specific projects such as subscription service and launching sales of prescription glasses, improving customer purchase prediction using Python and machine learning, and implementing features like filtering, sorting, and pagination on the e-commerce website.

2009 - 2015: Informatics studies at the University of Economics in Prague, with a thesis on developing a web application for managing bachelor's and master's theses, involving Zend, PHP, JS, jQuery, integration with the school information system, Google Calendar, Outlook.com, and REST API. Graduated with a bachelor's degree.

2005 - 2009: Informatics studies at a technical high school in Prague, with a focus on electrical engineering. Graduated with a high school diploma.

Language skills: Excellent/native speaker in Czech, Advanced in English. Basic knowledge of Japanese.
