Java Developer

The candidate has been working as a Java developer for 10 years. He worked on the development of the Centaur project for fraudulent transaction detection where he solved various problems, communicated with customers and acted as technical support. He has used tools and technologies such as Jira, Gitlab, Apache, Kubernetes, Angular. He has worked with agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban. He has experience in leading a small team. Part of his colleagues on projects were foreign people and hence he used English very often and has it at a communicative level.

Senior Software Developer (2018-9/2021) - Worked on the Centaur project, an anti-financial crime solution using Java EE, Redis, Elastic, Jira, and more. Responsible for communication with the customer, deployment, integration with other products, and technical support.

Senior Software Developer and Consultant (2012-2018) - Developed web applications for sharing and exploring chemical data, as well as data visualization. Also worked on desktop applications for sharing and exploring chemical data. Delivered software to top pharmaceutical companies.

Software Developer and Consultant (Contractor) (2007-2012) - Developed desktop applications for sharing and exploring chemical data and web applications. Worked in a startup environment and later sold the products to Chemaxon KTF.

QA Engineer, later Team Lead (2000-2007) - Conducted Java API testing for NetBeans IDE, wrote unit tests, functional tests, and performance tests. Also developed web applications and experimental tools for tracking source code quality.

Software Developer (2000-2001) - Worked on software development for viewing graphical file formats.

Education - Holds a M.Sc. in Computer Science and Applied from VŠB - Technical University of Ostrava. Theses focused on transparent migration of objects in distributed systems and residential antivirus in MS-DOS.

Technical Skills - Proficient in Java, Java EE, Scala, Python, Git, and various other technologies including C/C++, Linux, Docker, ReactJS, and machine learning.
