Cloud Engineer

The candidate is a skilled infrastructure engineer. He has been working in IT since 2004 and the last 3 years he has been partially focusing on Cloud support - works with AWS, GCP and Oracle. His main responsibilities are in maintaining and deploying R&D infrastructure to allow development of the project. He also works on a private cloud that runs on OpenNebula and Openstack. He does not consider himself as a junior nor specialist in cloud - his level is somewhere in between and he would love to get more involved with Cloud. He does not have any cloud related certifications, however he took a few LinkedIn courses on public clouds. In the past he has been working as Administrator for Linux and Unix for more than 4 years. He also gained some experience as team leader for his team and is used to work with agile, in an international environment and in bigger teams as well as the smaller ones. Speaks English, Portuguese and a little bit of Spanish. As a person The candidate has a very kind personality, he likes to move forward in his career and he keeps his mind open for new opportunities.

Infrastructure Engineer (November 2018 - Present): Responsible for maintaining and deploying R&D infrastructure, including on-premise and public cloud systems, local network infrastructure, and automation tools.

Z/Linux System Administrator (September 2017 - November 2018): Provided 3rd level support for z/Linux systems, resolved issues and performed root cause analysis, managed system configurations and clusters, and fine-tuned systems for improved performance.

Unix HPC Administrator (September 2014 - September 2017): Administered Unix/Linux high-performance computing systems, provided 3rd level support, managed system configurations and clusters, and performed system upgrades and software installations.

Network Operations Engineering (November 2011 - September 2014): Troubleshooted and repaired network issues, provided support for corporate customers, and worked with various networking technologies including routing, VoIP, and SDH.

Network Operator (August 2004 - July 2011): Troubleshot and repaired network issues, supported corporate customers, and operated monitoring systems for infrastructure backup.
