DevOps Engineer

The candidate has been in the IT field for more than 15 years. He started as a Linux administrator. In his current position he automates routine activities within the company. He has experience with Docker. He works with Automic and Ansible. He has also worked with Azure and AWS for about a year. He has also tried Kubernetes at home, but has never used it at work. He communicates in English on a daily basis. He hasn't had the opportunity to lead his own team yet.

Automation Engineer (July 2020 - Present): Responsible for Automic/UC4 development, VCS patching, server decommissioning, AAA SSH public key deployment, AAA password reset, and network devices admin password refresh. Also involved in Ansible AWX/Tower installation and configuration, as well as developing internal Python tools for Ansible Tower and CMDB synchronization.

Veritas Cluster Server Specialist (February 2012 - July 2020): Installed, configured, and managed Veritas Cluster on Red Hat Linux, HP UX, and AIX in multiple DR locations. Automated routine tasks using Ansible, Python, Bash, and Perl, including installation of new VCS clusters, Ansible module for Veritas upgrade procedure, and storage migration.

Software Solution Integrator (September 2011 - November 2011): Involved in software solution integration.

Sun Solaris Administrator (April 2007 - September 2011): Installed and managed over 800 Solaris servers, including Sun Cluster, VCS, VxVM, ZFS, and Soltice DiskSuite. Developed internal tools and provided newcomers training for shell scripting.

Linux Systems Administrator (February 2006 - September 2007): Installed new servers and managed internal company infrastructure, including DNS, DHCP, Samba, HTTP, and VPN. Also responsible for backup and restore.

System Administrator (September 2003 - June 2007): Administered network infrastructure for over 1000 active users and Linux servers, including DHCP, DNS, FTP, and MAIL.

Education: Graduated from Technická univerzita v Košiciach with a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
