Java Developer

The candidate has been working in development for 4 years and has gained experience as a PM, Product owner or Analyst. Currently he is doing Atlassian consultancy (Jira Software deployment, Jira Service Management, Bitbucket, ...) and developing his own software (React, Java, Spring, ...). He is also working as Head of Development where he has taken responsibilities in project management, dealing with technical stuff as well as people management responsibilities. For a year he led a development and shipping department with 17 people. He also has experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum and Prince. He speaks English at C1 level and would welcome working in an international team.

August 2021 - Present: Full-Stack Developer, Product Owner, Analyst, Designer

As a freelancer, I develop web applications using a complete stack of skills. This includes working with stakeholders to gather requirements, creating wireframes and UI/UX designs, and then designing, developing, deploying, monitoring, and supporting the software.

September 2021 - Present: Atlassian Cloud Consultant

In my role as an Atlassian Cloud Consultant, I consult with customers to understand their requirements and customize and support Atlassian products, primarily Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence. I also research errors in customer site implementations, identify their root cause, and deploy changes to correct them.

February 2021 - Present: Head of Development and Operations

As the Head of Development and Operations, I lead the IT development and operations sections with 15 direct reports. My responsibilities include ensuring the continuous development and stability of our services, setting up and administering Jira for project management, resolving technical and personal conflicts, and promoting a positive culture. I also communicate with stakeholders and suppliers, implement process optimizations, and handle resource allocation.

June 2020 - February 2021: Product Owner

In my role as a Product Owner, I led a software project for managing the lifecycle of final theses. I worked with a team of UX/UI designers and developers, reported progress to higher management, gathered requirements, prioritized and maintained the product backlog, planned sprints and resources, and maintained product documentation. I also conducted team staffing and behavioral interviews and promoted a positive team culture.

February 2018 - June 2020: Full-Stack Developer

As a Full-Stack Developer, I designed and implemented new features, refactored old code, resolved bugs, and communicated with customers. I worked in a small team using Trello for internal ticketing and GitLab for versioning.

September 2019 - June 2020: Backend Developer

During this period, I gathered requirements and developed a Proof of Concept web application for a legal office in collaboration with a frontend developer. The main goal was to generate necessary documents for founding new companies. I also set up Jira for development and release planning and reported progress.

2019 - 2021: Master’s Degree in Data Science

For my master's degree, I focused on machine learning-based query analysis for an online medical clinic. The product developed as part of my thesis is currently running in production and saves costs by automating manual classification.

2016 - 2019: Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering

During my bachelor's degree, I worked on a system for skill-based search of students, which was nominated for the faculty Dean award. The product was deployed as a Proof-Of-Concept and will be used as part of a larger metauniversity project.
