Short Summary
The candidate is an experienced financial analyst and M&A consultant who has been in this position for more than 10 years in commercial practice. He would like to represent the position of manager. His goal is to perform his job well and perhaps move up to CFO over time. He has typically participated in larger projects. He has overseen valuation and evaluation, analytics, financial modeling, process and staff coordination, taxes, acquisitions and targeting. He was usually the CFO's right-hand man and assumed the CFO's responsibilities. He also has experience working in the BIG4. He has a good command of the English language and uses it on a daily basis. He is currently set to change jobs as he would like to move away from the stereotype he is currently doing.
Work Experience
Finance Manager (03/2020 → present): As the head of finance, responsible for the smooth operation of the finance department, including accounting, financial closing, taxes, receivables, and payables. Coordinate processes and employees, liaise with auditors, lawyers, and advisors. Set goals and objectives, prepare business plans, and analyze company performance. Also responsible for development projects and calculations for procurements. Analyze financial data, propose cost-reduction opportunities.
Financial Controller/Financial Analyst (10/2014 → 02/2020): Involved in reporting activities, month-end closing, variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. Responsible for new project calculations, strategic planning, and analysis. Conducted detailed cost breakdown and optimization processes, as well as KPI calculation and analysis. Worked on M&A projects, including contact with potential clients/targets, purchase price calculation, and integration planning.
Transaction Advisory Services Consultant (08/2012 → 09/2014): Worked in the valuation and business modeling department, participating in projects related to real estate and asset valuation. Prepared expert opinions and valuation models, also involved in large-scale due diligence projects.
CFA Level II exam passed (03/2014 – present): Covered subjects such as alternative investments, corporate finance, derivatives, economics, equity investments, ethics, financial reporting and analysis, fixed income investments, portfolio management, and quantitative methods.
Master degree in economics - with honors (09/2010 - 05/2012): Covered subjects related to finance, banking, and investment.
Bachelor degree in economics - with honors (09/2007 - 06/2010): Covered subjects related to finance, banking, and investment.
Language skills: Proficient in English (C1 level) and basic knowledge of German (A2 level).
