Java Developer

The candidate is a skilled Java Developer who has 7 years of experience in this field, but in his current position he is a Teamleader. In this position he is in charge of a 10 member team consisting of five developers, two automated Testers, one manual Tester, one business Analyst and one Scrum Master. Along with leadership, he also does development, bug fixing, architectural design of new solutions and testing. His strong skills include Java in particular. In which he would continue to pursue in the future. English language is not a problem for him as he is working in an international team even now.

December 2020 - Present: Software Developer. Responsible for developing the insurance system using Guidewire framework. Involved in backend and frontend application development, as well as designing microservices for communication with third parties. Also responsible for testing, guiding junior team members, and practicing Scrum.

September 2015 - November 2020: Software Developer. Developed the scoring system for Deutsche Telekom, focusing on backend application development and maintaining the decision-making tool. Collaborated closely with customers to design decision logic for scoring and improve the rule engine configuration. Also involved in bug fixing, testing, guiding junior team members, and practicing Scrum and SAFe.

August 2011 - September 2015: Experienced tester/Developer. Worked on developing software for Intelligent Transportation System, specifically backend components. Responsible for development, bug fixing, testing, automation of testing, and knowledge transfer.

April 2007 - July 2011: Software Developer. Developed communication software for revision technics used for electricity standards. Also involved in programming microprocessors and testing measuring machines.

March 2006 - September 2006: Tester/Assembler. Conducted quality manual testing and assembled machines according to technical documentation.

January 2005 - February 2006: Administrator. Responsible for administration of intranet on Windows platform and providing end-user support.

Education: Completed secondary grammar school in Prešov and studied Computer Science at Technical University Košice from 2003 to 2007.

Language Skills: Upper-intermediate level in English and basic level in German.

Computer Skills: Proficient in Riskshield, Java Apache Camel, Java (Spring, Spring boot, Hibernate, Swing), FEST Java, Docker technology, Openshift and Kubernetes. Intermediate knowledge in Guidewire/Gosu, Liquibase, Angular and Node JS, Mongo Database, Linux operation, Talend, and Oracle PL/SQL.
