Manual Tester

The candidate is a young tester who started working with SQL technology in 2018. In 4 years of commercial experience, she worked as a tester, testing financial web applications. She is currently on a project to process data for reporting and auditing. They were collecting data files from insurance companies on policies written, policies flowing and commissions for policies written. They processed this data as raw data into multiple databases, deduplicated the data, and linked the individual contracts, policies, and commissions using various rules. Her role in the team was to design test scenarios, verify the correctness of solutions, analyze production data, and bring improvements to existing processes. She interacted a lot with the business and the programmers, making sure that the business requirements were consistent, that the programmers fully understood the business requirements, and that the requirement itself was consistent with the data that already existed in the production database. On a previous project, she had been a tester on several smaller business projects. The largest of these was for a bank based in Monaco. They were doing a web application for them to process documents and payments. Another project was a web application for a smaller US bank, they were developing an application to handle the loan process. The third project was a web, and attached to it, a mobile app for an insurance company to handle inspections for insurance claims. The last project was a web application for a reinsurance company that served as a system for insurance analysts to store estimates of global events and their financial impact on the reinsurance company. In all these smaller projects, she was the lead tester, reporting bugs found during testing, writing test scenarios, making sure the documentation for the applications being developed was consistent, suggesting solutions to the business and consulting with them. In the position, she worked in agile environments that used Scrum for bi-weekly Sprints. The candidate also worked with international clients during projects, so communicating in English is not a problem for her. She hasn't had the opportunity to lead a team before, but she doesn't plan to go down that path.
