DevOps Engineer & Java Developer

The candidate is a Java developer. He started at Deutche Telekom IT solutions, where he worked on the project alone in a team of application developers. He was responsible for fullstack design of the application, or solved demo version for internal application of the company. He knows programming mainly in Java Spring 8, frontend was solved on his projects from Angular to React, he met with creating services, interfaces, REST API, Spring security. He has also programmed and refactored code at Adus Technologies. In school, he and a colleague coded their own application on MQTT architecture - also in Java Spring. It was a smarthome application that allowed the user to remotely control 96 lights on campus. It was a campus application for obtaining and monitoring readings from sensors on individual devices on campus. The candidate programmed the backend, working on authentication, authorization, spring security (jwt tokens), mysql databases, rest api and also containerization into Docker containers. He also coded a blockchain based distributed system in school - also in Java - using RMI and remote method invocation. In addition, for the thesis he coded an automated web server for heuristic detection of phishing url addresses and a pure web server for manual testing of phishing url addresses. He helped a friend to program a thesis demo and a data warehouse application - also in Java Spring and Hibernate framework. He also worked with Java JDBC, Java ORM + did builds, custom school projects in Gradle, but mostly built via Maven and that too in commercial practice. He also developed an e-shop in Java, where the backend was done in Java and the frontend in Angular. He can communicate in English without any problems. He has several years of experience as a DevOps engineer, but he wants to go in the development direction instead, because it fulfills him in life. He has experience only on the side of school.

DevOps Engineer (Jan 2022 - Currently): Responsible for CI/CD development and maintenance, operations and maintenance of infrastructure, and support for the development team. Proficient in virtualization technologies, Linux/Unix administration, automation and configuration management, and container systems like Docker and Kubernetes. Also experienced in database management, data backups, and build/release management.

Backend Developer (Apr 2021 - Jan 2022): Involved in development on in-house projects using Angular, HTML5, CSS, Spring Boot, TypeScript, and PHP. Also handled DevOps related tasks.

DevOps Engineer (July 2020 - Jan 2021): Worked on containerization of Linux-based software installations into Docker, set up and maintained Docker services for development teams, created Linux system services, and performed system administration and Bash scripting.

Junior Software Developer (Sep 2019 - June 2020): Developed backend using Java Spring Boot, implemented Spring Boot Security, Hibernate, and JDBC, and worked on frontend development in React Native. Also involved in designing and testing solutions for mobile apps and Bash scripting.

Education: Completed a degree in Computer Networks (2017 - 2020) and currently pursuing a degree in Informatics (2020 - 2022) from the Technical University of Kosice. Also completed studies in Mechanics of computer networks from Stredná odborná škola technická.
