Ruby on Rails Developer

Overview

Short Summary

  • personality traits

The candidate is a nice guy from Bratislava, who caught his passion for programming in college, where he developed some simple applications for the university in C/++. After college he joined Accenture, where he did more maintenance, partly desktop application development in C#. However, he always wanted to do web development and this is where his Rails career started; he chose RoR because it is surrounded by startups and an interesting community, syntax was secondary in his choice. Since 2014 he has been developing commercially in RoR with a focus primarily on the backend, he has no problem with the JS frontend either. He considers the most interesting projects he's worked on to be Mercudo (an eshop for auditions) and Bsafee (a personal security app). He is also developing his own project from A to Z. He prefers to work remotely, with which he already has experience from a project for the UK, the other option is to work in Bratislava.
