PHP Developer

The candidate has been involved in development for over 20 years. In 2005 he started developing in Java and for the last 8 years he has been doing OOP in PHP (he has been doing PHP for longer). Since 2015 he has been working primarily with Laravel, but now he uses it only on smaller projects. Currently, he has been working in Symfony daily for 4 years and started working with .Net Core a year ago. He hasn't written automated tests yet. In the last years he tries to work only on the backend, but for some time he also worked on the frontend as a fullstack developer (Bootstrap, CSS, HTML, LESS, SASS, JavaScript). Due to his extensive experience, he doesn't have much room to move in PHP anymore, so he is trying to improve in architecture, where he also has many years of experience. He prefers large enterprise solutions, as making e.g. a website for a local hairdresser doesn't fulfill him anymore. For 10 years Martin has led large teams in various leadership positions, where he was responsible not only for team leading and team motivation, but also product ownership, planning, management and budgeting - often internationally. Although recently he finds development more fulfilling than leading, he has no problem in holding the position of Team Leader in the future - but only after he has integrated himself into the team. He certainly doesn't want to start leading a team he doesn't know right from the start. He has also routinely done code reviews as part of the team. Personality-wise, Michal is a very pleasant person. At WebSupport, he was particularly drawn to interesting technologies. He is currently considering a job change due to some changes in his current job - but these are internal things. Apart from News and Media Holding, he still works at ESET, where he consults a few hours a month. He has been communicating in English on a daily basis since the beginning of his IT career.

Senior Backend Developer / Team Leader (December 2019 - Present)
Responsible for leading a team of 4 front-end developers, 5 back-end developers, 3 data analysts, tester, and devops engineers. Implemented scrum methodology and designed workflow. Developed microservices architecture applications using Symfony, PHP, MySQL, Postgres, Redis, MongoDB, and Vue.js. Utilized Doctrine ORM and ODM, RabbitMQ, and REST API. Developed AWS Athena queries and AWS Lambda functions in Node.js. Also worked on .NET Core development of microservices solutions.

Senior Full Stack Developer / Architect (December 2018 - September 2019)
Worked remotely for Jumptomorrow Austria on a project basis. Responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing an information system for a jewelry trading company in Austria and Germany. Gathered business requirements, performed functional analysis, and created entity relationship diagrams. Developed using Lumen, MySQL, and Vue.js. Handled data import, cleaning, and processing.

Hired and built teams for various software technologies. Led a core team of 30+ people in Slovakia and Austria. Managed a team of 15 on-site developers and project managers, as well as teams in 3 other countries. Designed and architected software projects. Planned and budgeted projects, analyzed milestones, and developed technical solutions and strategies. Integrated quality assurance processes and agile development methodology (Scrum).
