DevOps Engineer

The candidate is an experienced Devops engineer/leader who has worked in this role for over 8 years in commercial practice. He has worked as a system administrator during his university years (2005-2007). Back then he was already partly programming and automating everything he could. This led him to his own project and company. In this company he led a team of 6 DevOps people, and since it was a small company he did of course more as a leader of one team. He currently works as a Devops consultant for the entire engineering department (45 people and 6 teams). At this client he has been able to implement DevOps processes across the entire organization (or engineering) that allow developers to scale much better than if he was just building a dedicated devops team. And he would like to apply a similar strategy to other clients. He mainly uses Scrum and Kanban methodologies in his work. He also completed the Leadership for Engineers course at TU Delft. He can communicate in English on a business level and uses it on a daily basis, he could also communicate in German, but it would have to be a gradual build-up. He has worked for clients in both the banking and telecommunications sectors, but is not afraid of others.
