Java Developer

The candidate is a full-stack developer who has been working in Java since college and commercially for 16 years. He has developed on projects in various sectors, mainly public, financial and food. He is a certified Associate Technology Architect, Java Programmer, Java Web Component Developer, Spring Core Developer. He is currently working as a Senior Java Developer. The output of his project will be an application through which it will be possible to rent an electric car for a certain period of time, and at the same time the application will also record the payment movements for these vehicles. He programs on the frontend in both Angular and React. It works with both Google cloud and microservices. He has the basics of Python. He is a member of a team of 5 people, both developers and architects. They work agile with Scrum in a way of 2-week sprints. He leads a team of 9 developers, trying to keep it agile. He uses English on a daily basis and is conversant in German as well.

• October 2021 – present: Contractor. Responsible for the development of Java-based custom applications. Worked on an electric cars rent/sharing app as a senior developer on a java-based application running on the Google Cloud platform.

• Jul 2018 – September 2021: Contractor. Developed applications primarily based on the Java platform. Also involved in proposals, people development, and business support. Worked as a technical architect for a global insurance company, migrating internal applications to a lightweight architecture and cloud platform. Also worked as a Java developer in the aviation industry, creating an application for frequency assignment across state authorities. Additionally, worked as a senior developer for a Swiss bank, developing a complex application for client risk management.

• Sep.2013 – Jun 2018: Technology Architect/Team Lead. Developed applications based primarily on the Java platform. Involved in proposals, people development, and business support. Worked as a technical architect for a global insurance company, designing and implementing application modules and migrating to a lightweight architecture. Also worked as a technical lead for a global food company, designing and implementing a nutrition recommendation application based on Liferay 6.2. Additionally, worked as a Java architect for a Slovak bank, designing and implementing an archiving solution.

• Sep.2012 – Aug.2013: Analyst and Programmer. Developed information systems based on the Java platform. Worked on projects such as a public portal for online ticket reservations and sales for a Slovak government institution, an application platform adapter for a Slovak internet provider, and an e-commerce application for storing large sets of data based on a NoSQL database.

• Jan.2008 – Aug.2013: Developer, Analyst, and Project Manager. Responsible for analysis, design, and implementation of information systems. Worked on projects such as a public CMS portal for a Czech government institution, an intranet application for a foreign company branch in the Czech Republic, and a public CMS portal for Brno events.

• 2001 - 2005: Graduated from the Secondary School of Jozef Murgaš with a degree in Information Technology.

• 2005 – 2011: Graduated from Brno University of Technology, Faculty of Information Technology with a Masters degree in Information Systems.
