Java Developer

The candidate has been a Java developer for almost 10 years. He has been working on various projects in the banking sector. In particular, he was responsible for completing a new online banking system where he was creating an architecture using REST API and migration of the server in Kubernetes. Furthermore, he was involved in the customisation and the whole cycle of FE, BE and databases development. He is experienced in Maven, Git, SQL or test frameworks e.g. JUnit, Mockito (TDD is his favorite style). Moreover, the clients he worked for had large data centres, so a "self hosted" cloud was also used. He is native in German and fluent in English as he worked in an English speaking Scrum for 4 years. In the past, he was responsible for mentoring junior developers.

03/2022 – ongoing: Senior Java Developer Responsible for a project involving the detachment and migration of existing services to Quarkus in a Kubernetes environment. Also a member of the architecture board of the department.

05/2018 – 02/2022: Java and PL/SQL full-stack developer Involved in customizing a business processing system, development and maintenance, performance optimization, and onboarding of junior developers. Also responsible for compliance with data protection regulations.

04/2014 – 04/2018: Java EE Full-Stack Developer Initially responsible for the redevelopment of an online banking solution. Later focused on the redevelopment of a core banking system, including optimization for execution speed. Successfully established direct SEPA and TARGET2 connections, reducing costs for the bank.

2010–2013: Diploma studies in Austrian Law Completed a 6-semester program in Austrian Law at Leopold Franzens University Innsbruck, receiving a Magister degree.

2003–2011: Master and Bachelor study Computer Science Completed a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at Leopold Franzens University Innsbruck.

1998–2003: Higher Technical Education Institute Attended a technical college for Industrial Engineering and Management with a focus on Business Informatics in Innsbruck, Austria.
