DevOps Engineer

Experienced DevOps but also Java developer. The last 3 years he has been working mainly on DevOps (AWS infra, IaaC with Terraform and Ansible and Jenkins). Worked on Cpaas platform to deliver video and voice messaging for third parties. Within this platform, he worked on internal DevOps, served as Cpass IT lead, covering internal infrastructure which he maintained, expanded and initiated solution improvements. The entire infrastructure within Cpass was built on Jenkins and everything was running in the cloud - AWS. He was responsible for the entire CI/CD process that ran on the infrastructure. On projects, they were creating infrastructure, AWS images, configuring low level at that operating system level and those created APIs were taken and then in the pipeline it was sold as input to the infrastructure from which they did the instantiation and provisioning. They also used Terraform and Ansible. During his input on projects, he thinks about the right way to work and simplify things. They created a synthetic monitoring system where in half an hour he was able to build anything functional Jenkins side even with pipelines to be able to create a production system. Prior to that he had worked with Java for 10 years. Licensing project was the biggest challenge for him. He developed a 3-tier web application (to store licenses for on-premise customers and products) and maintained it for the last 3 years. The platform is based on JSF (Primefaces) + DAO patterns + MySQL as a backend DB. He configured that web platform in the same way as previous projects to make it all automated to install. Also ran it in the cloud, Terraform, invented new features and linked DSSN with Sencor and such. He's used to working in Jira, Scrum and Kanban. He has experience in managing people, mentoring them, selling them his know-how and delegating tasks to them. He enjoys working with people from abroad and speaks fluent English. His German is at a normal communicative level, not at the level of IT terminology.

• Led the integration effort following the acquisition with Mavenir, focusing on integrating CI/CD build systems and synthetic monitoring (SM) systems.
• Oversaw the build and release process and improved CI & CD using Jenkins.
• Automated AWS image creation with Packer and implemented improvements in synthetic monitoring.
• Conducted security hardening of the current infrastructure and managed a small team for CPaaS IT.

• Worked mainly for Telestax, Inc., a leading company in the CpaaS (Communication Platform as a Service) segment.
• Oversaw the build and release process and improved CI & CD using Jenkins on AWS.
• Implemented Infrastructure as Code (IaaC) using Terraform & Ansible for Jenkins.
• Developed failover and backup solutions for CI & CD and conducted synthetic monitoring of production services.

• Led the productization of JBCP (JBoss Communications Platform) for the RH middleware product.
• Defined release schedules and identified feature versions for product releases.
• Participated in community features and productized JBCP releases.
• Also served as a member of the WFK productization team, focusing on Errai productization.
• Led the Brno productization team, overseeing the release cycles and mentoring younger team members.
