C++ Developer

The candidate is an experienced developer who has been programming in C++ for over 9 years in commercial practice. Most of his career has been in a software company that developed air traffic control software, this included GUI applications and BE server applications. The main data archiving that was done there was a small server that ran constantly and sent data that had to be stored in a certain format. It was stored locally and globally on dedicated servers.Another project was a small system for evaluating the meteorological situation in a certain region, where the radar image was processed on HW and sent the data in a certain set format for processing. The last system was a system to process radar data on overview of flights, aircraft types, routes and air situation. He also served as Product Owner and unofficial tech lead. He has an excellent command of the English language and uses it on a daily basis. He has actively used agile methodologies in his work, especially Scrum and Kanban.

04/2022 – 04/2023 C++ developer Developed an internal framework for integration testing scenarios of in-house software under Linux environment. Worked in a multinational scrum team. Utilized C++ 17, cmake, Google test, Gerrit/git, Jira, Linux, and Google Protocol buffers.

2014 – 04/2022 C++ developer Developed and maintained air traffic control and management software under Linux. Analyzed, designed, and documented new software modules. Refactored and optimized existing code base. Led a small team of 3 developers and 1 tester, managing requirements and task assignments. Conducted customer training in English, including international trips.

2006 – 2014 ICT section officer Managed LAN infrastructure, Windows and Linux servers, and wireless access points. Provided internal user support and remotely managed branch offices. Implemented communication infrastructure for new branch offices. Utilized Windows, Ubuntu, Active Domain management, and telecom/networking concepts.

2004 – 2006 Developer Worked on various data gathering projects for the Ministry of Education of Slovak Republic. Developed a larger project on financial management of school subjects. Utilized Delphi, PHP, Javascript, CSS, MySQL, and some C++.
