Java Architect & Java Developer

The candidate has almost 20 years of experience in Java. He is responsible for integrating three Guidewire systems with external systems. He does analysis, manages the lifecycle of requirements, creates user stories for a motor insurance product. Furthermore, he defines and implements solutions. In the current project he was working with micro services architecture where he used Kafka for messaging exchange, messaging middleware - it was event driven. He has create a policy and what should be done - eg. cancel policy, get money-back. Although, he was developing micro services, he was but not involved for a 100% in development just in discussion and consultancy. He is used to work with Docker container, Gitlab and used some other tools, but he was not configuring them. he was just a user. Apart from that, he was working for digital providers in the past where he was programming in JS. He implemented calendar that was used for scheduling exams and he used JS libraries (Angular) and wrote JS code. Moreover, he worked with databases such as Oracle, SQL and so on. He is used to working in an agile environment in Scrum. Also, he demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities while training junior developers. He speaks fluent English and can also speak German on level B2.

2022 August - current time: Lead Guidewire Architect. Collaborated with stakeholders to integrate Guidewire systems with external systems. Mentored and trained junior developers. Analyzed requirements and designed solutions for young driver motor insurance. Stayed current with industry developments. Managed requirements and ensured proper tracking and prioritization. Worked closely with business stakeholders. Recommended and implemented effective solutions. Technologies used: GoSu, GW Insurance Suite, Java 11, MS SQL Server, RabbitMQ, SOAP, REST, Atlassian Jira, Jenkins.

2019 August - 2022 August: Lead Guidewire Developer/Architect. Integrated Guidewire systems with external systems. Configured Guidewire ClaimCenter. Implemented Guidewire integration using microservices. Developed REST web services, batch processes, and messaging queues. Implemented personal accident and animals insurance products. Developed loyalty and referral programs. Technologies used: GoSu, GW InsuranceSuite, Java 17, H2, MS SQL Server, Spring Boot, Apache Kafka, Protobuf, Lombok, MongoDB, Nomad, Docker, GoCD, Atlassian Jira.

2019 February - 2019 July: Guidewire Integration Team Lead. Internally integrated Guidewire systems. Extended internal integration models. Integrated Guidewire systems with external systems. Developed personal auto insurance product. Technologies used: Java 8, InsuranceSuite 10, REST web services, messaging queues, ESB, Bitbucket, Atlassian Jira.

December 2018 - June 2019: Senior Guidewire Developer. Integrated Guidewire systems with external systems. Configured Guidewire ClaimCenter. Developed SOAP integrations with external systems. Developed web service specifications. Technologies used: Java 8, GoSu, SOAP integration, messaging queues, Jira, Bitbucket.

2011 - current time: CTO co-owner. Managed a software development office. Developed and executed strategic plans for IT and projects. Managed budgets and staff planning. Communicated with external stakeholders.
