DevOps Engineer & Node.js Developer

The candidate is a DevOps Engineer with 2.5 years of commercial experience. After a 3 month break he is actively looking for a project where he can develop his experience further. On previous projects he was in charge of deployments, dealing with pipelines in CI/CD from FE and BE developers, monitoring server status, adding new components in Docker, deploying Cloud, doing infrastructure from A-Z and creating automated VM images running Docker containers - it was an alternative to deploying SW products through Docker containers. By having a BE in DevOps and experience in cybersecurity he was able to create a virtual lab in which he created a complex corporate network that simulated classic corporate networks for security incident detection and then capturing incidents from the network device logs. He also deployed active directories that generated logs but also operating system logs and used this to test attacks. He has actively used Linux, Docker, CI/CD, Cloud, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Python in his work and also has experience in NodeJS and React. He has worked several times in an international team where he spoke English and is currently learning German.

DevOps Engineer May 2022 - Dec 2022 (8 months):

• As a DevOps engineer at a cybersecurity company, I developed pipelines using HashiCorp Packer for automated machine image creation, built a network simulation lab, and frequently used Python and Bash for scripting and automation tasks
• My focus was on automation, integration, and deployment, and I worked with a wide range of DevOps technologies, tools, and best practices.

Full-stack Developer Jul 2021 - Apr 2022 (10 months):

• As an independent full-stack developer, I focused on React and Node.js with TypeScript, deploying applications to AWS and GCP, and worked with MongoDB and PostgreSQL databases
• I developed an online learning application for a driving school and gained expertise in creating full-stack apps.

Network Security Administrator Nov 2020 - Jun 2021 (8 months):

• As a member of the NetSecOps team at DHL, I managed global network security and worked with Next-Gen Firewalls (Fortinet, Check Point), Proxy technologies (Blue Coat, Zscaler Cloud Proxy - certified), and Linux and automation systems
• I obtained a CCNA certification and played a crucial role in managing network security during the pandemic.

Researcher Jun 2017 - Nov 2018 (1 year 6 months):

• As a researcher at the Laboratory of Recombination and DNA Repair, Masaryk University, I managed and implemented a project focused on understanding the functionality of the BCDX2 protein complex. I introduced new protein purification methods to the lab and helped optimize insect cell cultivation in collaboration with colleagues from the cell section.
• I conducted all communication in English as part of an international research team.
