Java Developer

Java developer and team lead with 7 years of experience. He is currently responsible for building a new ecosystem for an insurance company. He is working on building the FE and BE part of the application for the broker zone to manage users and the business network. He holds the position of developer as well as team leader of a 5 member team. He does the design, implementation as well as delivery of the final product. Overall, he communicates with the customer regarding architectural stuff and subsequently with the company-wide architect with whom he communicates and designs the architecture. Uses Java 17, Micronaut and databases such as Postgre and MySQL. In addition, he also works with Docker, Kubernetes and Azure (2 years). In Azure he worked on creating a backend micro service architecture. Also during his career he did integrations with other systems where he used Event-Driven architecture with Apache Kafka. As a team leader, he sets the standard of work, does code reviews, and overall collaborates with the team to make sure everything is as it should be to achieve mutual success. He is used to working in an agile environment in Scrum. He used to communicate in English almost on a daily basis for 7 years.

• Implemented an internal process for risk calculation, profit/loss, and impact analysis of current and future possible actions.

• Implemented an internal system for booking and processing orders between local Swiss Re offices and the central Zurich office.
• Developed a web interface and handled all booking, monitoring, and reporting aspects of the process.
