Java Developer

A young and ambitious Java Developer who for the last 2 years has been working on several projects. His timesheet was adapted to his studies as in the meantime he attended a university, it was possible for him to work full-time during the summer holiday. The main project he has been involved in, included various GIS systems, altogether 7 complex projects primarily used by geodets, architects and constructors, for a leading Croatian company. During one of the projects he has mostly taken part in, he has cooperated with another developer on a legacy graphic application written in Java 8 and has been responsible for maintaining it and developing new features. This application enabled vector graphic and offered e. g. viewing particles, importing and exporting files or moving layers around. He used technologies such as Java, SpringBoot, Vaadin, Tomcat, Maven, OracleDB etc. Other projects covered a mobile application for an automotive industry or a university competition project which won his team a 2nd prize. Familiar with work in Agile environment. Speaks Croatian natively, English on a C1 level and knows basics of Slovak as he studied in Žilina for a whole semester during an Erasmus project in the university.

Software Developer

(July 2021 - February 2023)

• Developed and maintained over 6 complex GIS systems and applications for a leading firm in the software development sector.
• Created a web application within the IN2 Group for managing and reserving vehicles, utilizing Java, SpringBoot, Vaadin, Tomcat, Maven, and OracleDB.

Side Projects

• Developed an Android application for vehicle monitoring and integration of car-to-car communication using the MQTT protocol, in collaboration with a company in the transportation sector.
• Created a MySQL database as an archive for tracking the history and success of City Theater.
• Designed and developed a React/NodeJS web application called "Contact Keeper" for personal contact management.
• Conducted a project on BPMN 2.0 notation, including simulations on "AS-IS" and "TO-BE" models for a transporting company.
• Implemented an information system using OracleAPEX for a restaurant.
• Developed a Weather App to fetch weather information from an API and present it to the user for a desired location.
• Designed and built an Android application for tourists, featuring a catalog of popular stellar objects and connected to an automated Tican telescope, for an Observatory Center. The app was developed in Python and Java.
• Completed an astrophysics coding project for a School of Astronomy, utilizing an API, dataset, and Python to study tidal streams and generate various scientific graphs by searching and mapping tidal waves.
