Business Analyst

Business analyst who started working as a Java developer 6 years ago on the side of school. After graduation, he joined Algo Trading Engineer over 2 years ago, where he started to focus more on business analysis. The project he is working on involves electronic stock trading, he is working on the IOI (Indications of Interest) part. Apart from business analysis, he also acts as a team leader, leading a team consisting of over 15 people, he is responsible for testing and development. For example, his job description means communicating with business owners and project managers, specifying requirements, creating user stories, technical implementation or release management. He works in an agile-driven environment and for some time he also performed the role of Scrum Master. He has experience with technologies such as UML, BPMN, Jira or SQL, has been interested in digitalization during his studies and is currently partly involved in both software development and data systems management. He uses English on a daily basis as he works in an international environment.

Algo Trading Engineer 02/2021 - PRESENT

• Location: Prague / Home Office
• Description: Full-time member of the electronic and algorithmic trading team for equities, contributing to the development of a large electronic trading platform. Involved in software analysis and development of critical components, including smart order and ioi routers, high-frequency trading techniques, and data persistence for high-velocity trading data. Responsible for leading development and project coordination for IOI routing, including complex business logic analysis and core feature implementation. Managed release processes and documentation, working closely with high-level stakeholders. Gathered business, functional, and non-functional requirements and ensured their successful implementation.

Java Developer 09/2019 - 01/2021

• Location: Ostrava
• Description: Worked part-time on developing complex software systems for the public and private sectors, utilizing Java and Spring Boot. Automated CI/CD processes to maintain software quality, security, and license management. Analyzed, implemented, and procured tools such as Bamboo, Sonarqube, and Snyk. Played a role in the security audit team, verifying security requirements based on industry norms and OWASP recommendations.

Junior Java Developer 9/2017 - 8/2019

• Location: Ostrava
• Description: Worked part-time on the Tieto DevOps Space project, contributing to the development of a PAAS application for providing cloud environments for software development. Co-developed microservices using Java and Spring Boot. Procured, analyzed, configured, and implemented various tools for software development, such as SonarQube, Jenkins, and Gitlab. Assisted in organizing corporate recruitment events for university and high school students
