Java Developer

A senior Java developer, who started his career in 2013. He is currently working on back-end development of microfinancing applications. He is mostly working with Java, Spring, Flyway, SQL for databases. He is also working on the analysis and development of solutions for front-end, using Typescript and React. He is using Junit and Mockito for tests. He is migrating the app from monolith to AWS using Kubernetes, Helm and Docker. He is fluent in English, Russian and Kazakh is his mother tongue and he is also learning Czech, which is currently on basic level.

August 2021 – present: Software Developer

• Responsible for designing and implementing new backend features for a microfinancing application using Java 11, Spring, Spring Cloud, Gradle, PostgreSQL, and Flyway.
• Analyzing and developing solutions for the frontend client app using TypeScript and React.
• Executing refactoring and migration tasks for a Java Spring monolith application to AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service with HELM scripts and Docker containers.
• Ensuring comprehensive test coverage through JUnit, Mockito, and Spock.

June 2020 – June 2021: Software Developer

• Contributing to the development of a data analytics platform using JavaSpark and Spring, hosted on AWS EC2 instances.
• Extracting, transforming, and preprocessing data from a Data Lake for subsequent data analytics.
• Optimizing Spark jobs and conducting analysis of JVM memory usage.

April 2019 – May 2020: Software Engineer

• Conducting load testing on low-latency applications using Scala with Gatling and Spark.
• Participating in the analysis and development of microservices for internal informational systems, utilizing Java Spring, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
