Role: VP & Principal Data Engineer (March 15, 2022-Present)

As a VP & Principal Data Engineer in Tokyo, Japan, I am currently working on project assignments as a Data Governance Consultant & PMO. In this role, I manage schedules, delivery progress, quality checks, and enterprise compliance for data governance and privacy enforcement projects across different regions. I conduct daily standups and planning sessions with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate program risks for on-time, on-budget delivery. I enforce data policies, guidelines, and processes to ensure compliance with regulations such as GDPR, and implement best practices for data lifecycle management. Additionally, I develop analytics metrics and data quality frameworks to measure compliance, availability, usability, and security of data assets.
