Uchádzač má dlhoročné skúsenosti ako správca IT prevažne linuxových/unixových serverov, v jeho súčasnom zamestnaní väčšina z nich beží na Ubuntu. Pracuje v tímoch 4 administrátorov, ktorí sa starajú o internú infraštruktúru (2 dátové centrá s približne 200 virtuálnymi strojmi, 20 beží na Windows). Príležitostne sa podieľajú aj na podpore aplikácií vyvinutých ich spoločnosťou. Je zvyknutý pracovať v pohotovosti. Podieľajú sa aj na správe a budovaní IT infraštruktúry u klientov (od inštalácie HW až po samotnú správu dátového centra). Vyskúšal si aj prácu softvérového vývojára (C ), kde sa zoznámil s agilnou metodikou SCRUM, ale to bolo už dávno. Kedysi tiež riadil tím, ale zistil, že na to nemá vhodné mäkké zručnosti a viac mu vyhovuje pozícia radového člena tímu.

Responsible for managing and maintaining a wide environment, including troubleshooting and installations of VM servers (Redhat/CentOS, Ubuntu/Debian, and Gentoo flavors, as well as Windows Server 2012R2 and 2016). Maintained VMware and OVM hypervisors and internal applications and proxy servers.

Installed, managed, and troubleshooted customers' instances of IFS applications. Managed Oracle servers, applied patches, and optimized databases. Installed and deployed middleware applications based on WebLogic. Managed IT devices in offices and provided troubleshooting support.

2014 - 02/2016: Service Desk Analyst
Analyzed and troubleshooted issues with "fare collection management" products. Fixed configuration problems in proprietary software. Administered virtual servers and customers' Oracle databases.

2013 - 2014: IT and Facility Manager
Managed IT infrastructure and related devices, including hardware and software troubleshooting. Administered Xen-based servers and handled communication with suppliers. Managed company carpool, GPS monitoring, and facility management.
