Javascript Developer & React Developer

Kandidát je vývojár, ktorý vyvíja aplikácie v React a React Native už viac ako 4 roky v komerčnej praxi. Predtým programoval aj v PHP, ale teraz sa chce zamerať výlučne na React. Má za sebou aj prepisy frontendov z Ruby do Vue. Pri svojej práci aktívne využíva agilné metodiky, najmä Scrum a XP. Komunikácia v angličtine mu nerobí problém. Pracoval aj ako Team Lead, kde mentoroval juniorských/ mladších programátorov na viacerých projektoch.

May '16 - Present: Frontend Developer

• Developed a new workforce management app using React.
• Migrated the frontend of Faktura Online from Ruby to Vue.
• Participated in the chat feature development of the Global ID app as part of an international team of React Native developers.
• Developed and maintained a self-care app for Czech energy provider E.ON using React Native.
• Refactored and maintained UI component library for 4finance products using React.

May '12 - Apr '16: PHP & React Developer

• Maintained and developed new features for the Unicredit Bank web using PHP and jQuery.
• Rewrote the Unicredit Bank e-shop from PHP and jQuery to a React app.

Sept '04 - Present: Freelancer

• Worked on various projects mainly using PHP before transitioning to JavaScript and React in 2015.

Public Talks (in Czech)

• Delivered talks on functional programming basics in JavaScript, React.js updates (hooks & suspense), starting with Reason, optimizing React applications, and a hackathon review.

Education

• MSc. in Ecology of Insects from the University of South Bohemia - Faculty of Science in '02.

Other Activities

• Member of the core team for organizing the Lambdup Conf in 2017 and 2018.
• Contributed to the application development and statistical analysis for the book "Butterflies of Czech Republic: Distribution & Conservation" by M. Konvička et al.
• Developed tools for phylogeny analysis of ribosomal DNA for the book "Phylogeny of the Metazoa based on Morphological and 18s Ribosomal DNA Evidence" by J. Zrzavý et al.
