Javascript Developer & React Developer

Matthew arbeitet seit 2 Jahren als FE-Entwickler. Er war für die Modernisierung eines Webportals für Kunden verantwortlich, das in einem alten JS-Framework geschrieben war. Er musste die Komponenten neu aufbauen und optimieren und modernes JS in dieses Portal bringen. Arbeitete ausschließlich mit React, ebenfalls seit 2 Jahren. Außerdem hat er in einer agilen Umgebung mit Scrum gearbeitet. Während seines Studiums war er Teamleiter einer Gruppe, die Schülern der Junior High School Nachhilfe gab. Zu seinen Aufgaben gehörten die Organisation von Materialien, Nachhilfeunterricht und der Wochenplan. Sein Englisch ist auf einem kommunikativen Niveau und sein Niederländisch ist sehr einfach.

Front-End Developer (Part Time) - 11/2019 to 04/2020 Responsible for redesigning a client-facing web portal using modern JavaScript practices and the React framework. Built a React-based pipeline and coding standard for the front-end team. Rewrote components of the web portal in React, improving performance and visual appeal. Improved development, version control, and testing practices.

Software Engineering Intern - 6/2019 to 8/2019 (J.P. Morgan) Focused on front-end development for an internal application at J.P. Morgan. Code used in production to improve workflow.

Software Development Intern - 5/2017 to 8/2017 (Chauffeur One) Developed a booking application for a chauffeuring company. Made improvements to the company's web services.

Multimedia Search and Recommendation (CS4065) - Developed a Python application using the Spotify API to recommend music to users based on their preferences. (University of Glasgow)

Modelling and Data Analysis (CS4195) - Helped develop a Python application modeling a complex network using a graph library. (University of Glasgow)

Deep Learning (CS4240) - Reproduced the U-Net architecture in PyTorch and tested, trained, and benchmarked it. (University of Glasgow)

Algorithmic Trading - Currently working on a small group project to develop a bot for trading cryptocurrencies. (University of Glasgow)

MacSoc Help Room Organiser - Organized a weekly help room for students and coordinated with a team of helpers. (University of Glasgow)
