DevOps Engineer & Java Developer

Der Kandidat ist ein erfahrener Entwickler, der hauptsächlich an Lösungen für die Breitband-/Broadcasting-Industrie arbeitet. Zurzeit berät er bei Projekten, die Firebase/Polymer/Redux verwenden, um Web-/Mobilanwendungen für Kunden zu entwickeln. Er hat Erfahrung in der Definition der Architektur, des Workflows und der kontinuierlichen Bereitstellungsstrategie. Außerdem berät er andere Entwickler bei der testgetriebenen Entwicklung (als DevOps). Eines seiner Projekte in der Vergangenheit war die Arbeit an einem Projekt zum Rebranding der ungarischen Telekommunikationsinfrastruktur (bestehende UI) in die Vodafone-Infrastruktur. Er ist Senior Frontend (UI in javascript, Node.js) und verwendete Node.js Entwickler auf der Backend-Seite. Er leitete Teams von Frontend-Ingenieuren und lieferte selbst Backend-Lösungen für mehrere Projekte (Anwendungsentwicklung), einschließlich der kontinuierlichen Integration von Infrastrukturen über APIs. Die Kenntnis des Sektors ist sein Trumpf, er arbeitete an erwähnten Broadcasting-Lösungen, deren Bereitstellung, Migration verschiedener Quellcodes, Subversionen und Back-Tools ins Backend. Mentored other developers in test-driven development. Also provided maintenance and support for legacy OpenTV applications.

April 2011 - February 2017: Manager Core Application Development Managed a team of developers delivering core applications (VOD, EPG, etc.) for digital TV set-top boxes. Contributed in various roles including Scrum Master, Technical Lead, and Line Manager. Supported three platforms: legacy OpenTV, JavaScript-based update for legacy set-top boxes, and next-generation HTML5/JavaScript UI for RDK platform. Delivered to local operators in 13 European countries. Worked with external suppliers on specifications and requirements for middleware and interfaces. Maintained and developed shared libraries for internal teams and external suppliers. Conducted R&D and proof of concept applications for digital TV platform capabilities.

June 2008 - April 2011: Application Development Manager Remotely managed a team of developers in London from Amsterdam, delivering applications for digital TV set-top boxes running OpenTV middleware. Responsibilities included maintaining development tools, shared libraries, and conducting R&D and proof of concept applications. Assisted in the development of core UPC UI applications such as VOD and EPG applications.

July 2005 - June 2008: Senior TV Developer Worked as a technical lead, developing video on demand (VOD), radio, minibill, and SNMP notification applications using OpenTV SDK. Worked on a project to create an ETV quiz application and content management system (CMS) for the BBC. Mostly focused on OpenTV and Liberate clients.
