DevOps Engineer

Der Kandidat ist seit 4 Jahren als DevOps Engineer tätig. In seinen vorherigen Positionen war er QA Engineer. Er arbeitet an einem aktuellen Projekt für den Krypto-Sektor an der Infrastruktur in der AWS-Cloud. Der Schwerpunkt liegt dabei auf der Sicherheit. Er arbeitet an der Datenoptimierung, -erstellung und -pflege mit CI/CD-Pipelines in GitLab, wo er Ansible, Bash, Terraform verwendet. Neben anderen Technologien verwendet er Grafana, Telegraf, Squadcast, Bamboo, Kubernetes, Docker, Python, Git, Javascript, MATLAB. Er ist es gewohnt, in agilen Umgebungen zu arbeiten, insbesondere Kanban. Er hat Erfahrung in der Teamleitung als QA Engineer, wo er 12 Kollegen leitete. Sein Englisch ist auf einem kommunikativen Niveau, so dass es ihm nichts ausmacht, in einem internationalen Team zu arbeiten.

June 2021 – Present: DevOps Engineer for platform team

• Responsible for developing and maintaining AWS cloud infrastructure for a global algorithmic market maker. Creating and managing infrastructure as code using Ansible, Terraform, and Bash. Implementing CI/CD pipelines in Gitlab. Monitoring and alerting in Grafana using various tools. Focusing on user management and security.

January 2019 – May 2021: DevOps Engineer for platform team

• Involved in developing and maintaining on-prem and AWS cloud platform solutions. Utilizing infrastructure as code techniques with bash, python, yaml, and terraform. Automating VM configuration using Ansible and PXE kickstart profiles. Working with Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, Terraform, Ansible, and other tools.

April 2018 – December 2018: Fully automated QA Engineer for agile DevOps infrastructure team

• Preparing tests and test strategies for on-premise and cloud infrastructure in AWS. Creating CI/CD pipelines for tests and applications. Using agile software methods and Atlassian products for test and infrastructure management.

June 2015 – March 2018: QA Engineer

• Conducted automated and manual testing of web applications. Created tests for frontend and backend using JavaScript, ReadyAPI, and C#. Ensured overall quality and functionality of applications. Trained new testers for the team.

October 2013 – April 2015: SW testing

• Performed manual and automated backend testing using Java and SoapUI, and frontend testing with Selenium. Worked in an Agile environment using Atlassian JIRA for test case management.
