Ruby on Rails Developer & Team Leader

Der Kandidat ist ein Softwareentwickler, der seit 1 Jahr mit Ruby on Rails arbeitet. Davor hat er mit Python und Vanilla Javascript gearbeitet. Er arbeitet außerdem seit 5 Jahren mit HTML und CSS und seit weniger als einem Jahr mit React. Während seiner früheren Laufbahn hat er sowohl SQL- als auch NoSQL-Datenbanken verwendet, am häufigsten PostgreSQL. Zurzeit arbeitet er hauptsächlich an einem Projekt, aber er hat das Gefühl, dass er stagniert, deshalb ist er offen für etwas Neues. Er bevorzugt eine klare Aufteilung der Teams, mit effektiver Kommunikation. Er ist in Zagreb ansässig und bevorzugt einen Hybridmodus. Er kann auch während des Onboardings für einen beliebigen Zeitraum im Büro sein. Er hat kein Problem damit, auf Englisch zu kommunizieren. Sowohl langfristige als auch kurzfristige Projekte sind für ihn akzeptabel. Eine Festanstellung ist für ihn die bevorzugte Option, da er während seiner gesamten Laufbahn als Festangestellter gearbeitet hat. In seiner derzeitigen Position hat er eine Kündigungsfrist von 2 Wochen.

Mar 2022 - Now: Backend Developer

• Currently working as a backend developer on a project for a Canadian client, focusing on the development of an NFT marketplace for the academic community. The project is built using Ruby on Rails and React, and includes integrating Cardano blockchain functionalities.

Nov 2021 - Mar 2022: Junior Blockchain Developer

• Worked on research and development of a blockchain network of nodes for permanent storage database using open-source BigchainDB. Also involved in automation of tasks using robot process automation.

Feb 2021 - Nov 2021: Junior Software Engineer

• Developed new features and services for an in-house web GIS application based on Flask. Tasks included replicating and automating the retrieval of PDF documents from the Croatian Land Registry. Also automated daily processes using Bash and Python scripts for video processing and web app related tasks.

Dec 2019 - Feb 2021: Programmer

• Responsible for maintenance and development of the Croatian Forest Management Plan project, a cloud-based web application using C#, Python, and SQL Server. Also worked on the Albanian Forest Management Plan project, developing a simple web application using Python (Flask) and PostgreSQL, and writing scripts for generating word and excel reports.

Mar 2019 - May 2019: IT Assistant

• Assisted with database maintenance and resolved minor networking issues. Provided technical support for office employees.
