Have you chosen an IT specialist, but you need to figure out the difference between the forms of cooperation? Let's do it!
Hire an IT specialist
Collaboration on a freelance basis is the most common form of work in IT. Most IT specialists prefer this form over a traditional employment relationship. Since this is a form where the IT specialist falls outside the category of your internal employees, there are several advantages and disadvantages for both parties. However, it is still the most common form of cooperation in IT, as most companies need a specialist only for a particular time and a specific project. That's why at Jobrela, we call this collaboration "Hire" an IT specialist.
In case of hiring an IT specialist, we will conclude an order and a framework contract between you and us. The selected specialist will work according to the agreed terms and conditions but remain contracted with us. The advantage of this cooperation is that the specialist's salary depends on the actual hours worked, as it is invoiced based on an approved timesheet and not on a fixed monthly amount.
Advantages of hiring an IT specialist:
- Unlike a traditional employment relationship, when hiring an IT specialist, it is not required to compensate for vacation, medical care, meal allowance, or severance pay. Your accounting department doesn't have to deal with payroll taxes either.
- The law does not require you to provide the hired IT specialist with the hardware needed to do his or her job. IT specialists working freelance have their PC to work on while you cooperate with them.
- If you only need an IT specialist for a specific project, you do not have to worry about a complicated termination of the cooperation. Once the project is over, the contract is terminated on the date you need.

Buy an IT specialist
Although freelance work still wins in IT, the demand for IT specialists on a classic employment contract is increasing. If you buy an IT specialist, the specialist will become your internal employee, which is particularly advantageous if you are interested in a genuinely long-term cooperation. The specialist does not have to work on one specific project, but his work can be adapted to your company's needs.
Since the IT specialist will become your internal employee and thus will no longer have any connection with us, we can call this cooperation a "buy." After concluding an employment contract with the specialist, Jobrela is entitled to a one-off placement fee. This usually equals two months of the specialist's starting salary, but the amount may vary depending on the specific cooperation.
Benefits of buying an IT specialist:
- Unlike a freelance contract, a classic employment relationship offers the opportunity to build a stable internal team that will drive your business forward. You will know your employees, and your employees will know you.
- An employment relationship allows working together for several years and reducing employee turnover. Long-term employees are the heart of the company and the base of your company culture.
- By working with an IT specialist in the classic employment relationship, you can ensure that your projects run smoothly because you don't have to worry about sudden capacity shortages.
